I’ve been living in Japan and writing about Japanese cinema for more than 15 years. Besides contributing to books and film magazines with essays, I’ve been constantly writing about Japanese cinema and Japanese visual culture for the Italian newspaper Il Manifesto since the early 2000s, and for the website Sonatine2010, for more than a decade. I also worked for a couple of film festivals as a consultant.
I’m currently researching (independently!) about East and Southeast non-fiction film, delving in its history and development.

It’s a really nice blog. Keep working at it. What you said about writing in Italian made me a bit sad, but it’s probably true.
